Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe IMS Admin to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Mainframe IMS Admin, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and support of our mainframe IMS environment. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth operation of our mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and maintain the mainframe IMS environment to ensure optimal performance and availability

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including system backups and updates

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the mainframe IMS environment

Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement new systems and upgrades

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users

Develop and maintain documentation for mainframe IMS systems and procedures

Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements

Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mainframe technology

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Minimum of 7 years of experience in mainframe IMS administration

Strong knowledge of IBM mainframe systems and IMS databases

Experience with mainframe system monitoring and performance tuning

Familiarity with mainframe security and disaster recovery procedures

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
