Senior Mainframe Application Developer

The Application Senior Developer role is part of the Delivery department and focuses on leveraging advanced mainframe technologies to deliver robust, scalable, and efficient solutions. This position requires hands-on expertise in development, maintenance, and optimization of applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe-based application systems in alignment with business requirements.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and ensure data reliability.

• Perform system testing and debugging to ensure high-quality software solutions.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for application-related issues.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with development standards and best practices.

• Analyze existing systems to identify improvement opportunities and develop enhancement plans.

• Maintain documentation for developed solutions and processes.

Required Skills and Experience:

Mandatory:

• Strong proficiency in Mainframe technologies, including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.

• In-depth experience in application development and support for mainframe platforms.

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in similar roles.

Preferred:

• Experience with iSeries platforms.
