Mainframe Systems Admin - z/OS, Adabas/ Natural

Contract – Long Term

Location – Sydney or Melbourne

Security Clearance – Must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance

About the role:

An opportunity exists for a Mainframe Systems Admin Support with a strong customer focus and rich technical expertise in mainframe systems administration in a z15 z/OS environment.

Specifically, you should have experience in some of the following -

Operating System – z/OS

DB/Language - Adabas/Natural

Transaction processor – TSO, NIM

Monitoring, Alerting, Printing & Operational Support – XYMON, MXG, VPS/NIMSPL

Middleware – MQ, Datastream, RPC, Corba

Scheduler/Batch processor – CA-11/Jobtrac

Job Language - JCL

Security – RACF, Natural security

Source Code Management – N20

Storage/Backup Management – Hitachi VPS5100, CA-1 (Tape Management)

Key Responsibilities:

Software maintenance (patching/upgrading software) in a mainframe environment, SMP/E skills (mainframe software management).

24X7 support, shift work and after-hours support required

Operational and technical support to Application support and management.

Master console operation support.

Problem ticket in-depth analysis, trouble-shooting, problem resolution

Operational monitoring, alerting and tuning

Proactively providing innovative solutions in accordance with modern technologies

Build and maintain relationships with and advise various levels of stakeholders.
